Kole District Local Council has endorsed the Council's ex-officio and Kole North Member of Parliament Hon. Dr. Samuel Opio Acuti as Chairperson Roads Committee for the next five years.

His endorsement may be associated with the passionate appeal he made in writing to government during the 2021 electioneering about the appalling condition of the Lira-Kamdini highway and other roads in Bala, Alito and Akalo Sub-counties.

Hon. Dr. Opio Acuti welcomed his appointment saying, he will rally support from other MPs and the district authorities to ensure issues of roads in the district are prioritized.
